In CD Projekt’s recent H1 2022 results conference, president and joint CEO Adam Kiciński touched upon the idea of a “second Witcher saga,” confirming that the team is “thinking about more than one game.”
CD Projekt’s financial results — which brought us confirmation that The Witcher 3 Xbox Series X|S version is still on track for a 2022 release — also brought us a results conference where Kiciński confirmed that there will be “more than one game” in the ” second Witcher saga.”
The Witcher 4 will be part of a “second Witcher saga”
In the results conference (thanks, Eurogamer), Kiciński was asked to elaborate on the mention of a new Witcher “saga.” Kiciński replied, “We are pre-producing the first game of this saga, but we have in mind more than one… the first saga was three games, so now we are thinking about more than one game, but we are in pre -production of the first game from the second Witcher saga.”
We don’t yet know anything about these upcoming games, although we do know that The Witcher 4 has entered pre-production. While we wait, we can at least hopefully enjoy the Xbox Series X|S version of The Witcher 3, which should arrive later this year.
What would you hope to see in a new Witcher saga? Let us know in the comments!
