SpaceX prepares for Falcon 9 launch from Cape Canaveral

SpaceX successfully completed a Falcon 9 launch of Starlink satellites along with an orbital transfer vehicle Sunday night. The instantaneous launch window was set for 10:09 pm Sunday. Spaceflight’s Sherpa-LTC and a total of 51 Starlink satellites launched to low-Earth orbit, according to SpaceX. The launch lifted off from Space Launch Complex 40 located at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The first stage booster used in the mission landed on a drone ship named Just Read the Instructions in the Atlantic Ocean. According to SpaceX, the first stage booster has been used in several missions, including two previous Starlink missions, COSMO-SkyMed Second Generation FM2 and KPLO. SpaceX said this launch marks their 95th launch from Space Launch Complex 40, and it was the seventh space flight for the booster used in the mission.
