Remember when the first on-set photos from The Witcher on Netflix started appearing online, and fans of the The Witcher 3 quickly pointed out how…weird the Nilfgaardian armour was? Well, as part of the upcoming ‘next-gen’ update’s tie-in content with the show, that unnervingly wrinkled armour has been added to Geralt’s adventures on PS5.
It’s only for a second, but in the Complete Edition’s recent trailer, you can spot a Nilfgaardian soldier who’s wearing the the divisive outfit. From what we can remember, this particular shot is taken from an early cutscene, where the Wild Hunt kill a few troops while in pursuit of Geralt and Yennefer.
However, it’s unclear whether this will just be an in-game toggle — like the alternate outfits for some of the game’s main characters. We’d honestly be very surprised if the unsettling Netflix armour ended up being forced upon players.
And of course, Geralt can get an armour set that’s also based on the Netflix design. Unlike the weird ‘n’ wrinkly Nilfgaardian set, we think this one looks pretty good.
