Wild West action game Evil West launches on Xbox platforms later this month, and ahead of release, the folks over at Focus Entertainment have laid out the specs behind every version of the game. On Xbox platforms, there are some pretty big surprises when it comes to resolution and frame rate.
Perhaps the biggest surprise lies with the difference between the Xbox One X version and its Xbox Series S counterpart. Xbox One X hits 4K at 30 frames per second, while the Xbox Series S version only manages 1080p, 30FPS.
Over on Xbox Series X, the specs make for a bit better reading. Microsoft’s most powerful console has two modes; a quality mode at 4K / 30FPS and a performance option gunning for 1080p and 60FPS.
While most of the specs here aren’t that surprising, we’d have perhaps expected Xbox Series S to manage 1440p, and possibly squeeze in a performance option as well. On paper, Xbox Series S looks closer to the last-gen versions here, but we’ll have to wait and see how things pan out on screen.
