Chained Echoes, the RPG inspired by SNES-era games from solo developer Matthias Linda will be launching on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One soon, as well as heading straight to Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
Developed by Matthias Linda and published by Deck13, Chained Echoes takes us on an RPG adventure across Valandis, a land where “medieval fantasy meets modern steampunk” in a retro art style inspired by the SNES era of games. It launches on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, and other platforms on December 8th.
Chained Echoes announced for Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass
After many centuries of war, the land of Valandis is now enjoying the tranquillity of peace, but as is the case with any good story, doom is on the horizon. Stirrings and rumours of a threat against a powerful weapon of mass destruction have begun to circulate, and the threat of war is once again on the minds of its citizens.
We’ll follow the story of a group of strangers that set out to restore order to Valandis; an adventure that features magic, mechs, boss fights, sword duels, and more in turn-based combat. We’ll meet a number of different races on our travels, from otherworldly beings to humans, as well as uncover plenty of lore to sink our teeth into during the 40 hours of content Chained Echoes provides.
